In May of 2007, River Run Tours was asked to participate with The Sheepscot Harbour Resort, Bintliff’s Ocean Grille, and others, in supporting our Troops through Operation Recognition.  We gladly accepted and offered absolutely free of charge 2 Hour Coastal Tours to each and every family hosted.  I am proud to be a part of this, have made many new friends, and will continue in 2008 to offer all OR families the same opportunity.

…..today we went out on the river boat with Captain Ed.  He is a very polite man.  He introduced himself and asked us what we wanted to see.  My wife had never seen live Seals, so he took us to see Seals lounging on the rocks, they were magnificent.  It was so relaxing out on the water with the tossing of the sea, highly recommended………..

….we went out on our “River Run” ride with captain Ed Rice.  We had called him on Monday to arrange the trip.  He pulled up to the end of the pier right on time at 11:00 and took us down past Boothbay and around Westport Island.  It’s a beutuful day and we saw Seals and Ospreys, a Lighthouse and some very nice places.  Ed was very nice and friendly.  Not only will we take him up on his suggestion to take us up the Kennebec, but we will refer him to family from away who come up looking for the “Maine Experience!”
Reaally a Great not to be missed Excursion…………………

…..and at 11:45 we went on a boat ride with Captain Ed of River Run Tours.  This was by far the best thing that we’ve done outside of the resort.  The tour lasted a little over 2 hours, and during the trip we saw dozens of Seals, many Osprey, lobster boats and a Lighthouse.  Ed was great and even let the kids drive.  It was very relaxing…….
